Viejas Casino & Resort Selects Pavilion Payments  for VIP Mobility™

Casino patrons are increasingly cashless throughout their daily lives, and they want that same level of convenience to extend to their gaming experiences as well. Senior leadership at the Alpine, California-based Viejas Casino & Resort recognizes this and has raised the bar by being one of the first operations to launch VIP Mobility™. Pavilion Payments is equipping Viejas with the industry’s first mobile solution enabling true cashless casino gaming through this relationship.

Viejas casino guests can now create digital TITO tickets on their mobile devices by scanning an existing voucher or via their VIP Preferred e-check accounts. They can then easily pair their mobile device to any slot or table game by scanning a QR code, quickly reloading from their phone, and retrieving their funds once playing is complete. Play is never interrupted to get cash.

“Our adoption of VIP Mobility™ will provide additional convenience and increased transaction security for our guests,” said Erich Hans, Director of Treasury / CFO, Viejas Casino & Resort. “By allowing our players to bypass traditional funding sources, such as ATMs or the Cage, we have significantly improved optionality and expediency. We are excited to be the first Casino in Southern California to offer this new benefit to our guests, and we are confident that it will provide a material enhancement to their overall gaming experience here at Viejas.”

VIP Mobility™ operates within the casino’s existing technology structure, creating a more cost-effective, secure payment method within gaming floors. VIP Mobility™ also identifies the guest and source of funds for all transactions to mitigate risks associated with AML exposure. In addition, the solution can be configured by jurisdiction, property, or player to assist responsible gaming regulations by employing timers, limits, and self-exclusion parameters.
