Pavilion Payments Announces Platinum Membership with the National Council on Problem Gambling

According to the American Gaming Association (AGA) interactive sports betting map, 26 states plus Washington, D.C., are live with legal sportsbooks. However, the industry must move in a positive direction as states continue to pass measures to legalize sports betting.

Pavilion Payments understands the importance of educating new and seasoned patrons to bet responsibly. As part of our responsible gaming initiatives, Pavilion Payments has become a platinum member of the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG).

Founded in 1972, the NCPG advocates for programs and services to assist patrons and families affected by problem gambling. There isn’t a Federal agency tasked to address problem gambling, so The Council strives to raise awareness about prevention, treatment, and recovery services available to patrons. As a platinum member, Pavilion Payments will support essential services for patrons and families affected by problem gambling.

“The expansion of legal sports betting has led to conversations around the practice of responsible gambling,” said Christopher Justice, president of Pavilion Payments. “Pavilion Payments is proud to stand with the National Council on Problem Gambling to shed light on the impacts of problem gambling and prevention, treatment, and recovery resources available to patrons.”

Furthermore, Pavilion Payments has engineered its solutions to provide additional layers of consumer protection while fitting within existing gaming regulations. For example, VIP Mobility™ and VIP Financial Center™ provide patrons with an enhanced gaming experience while delivering more effective consumer protection for responsible gaming. In addition, the solutions incorporate the latest responsible gaming measures, including configurable spending limits, “pre-set cooling” off periods, self-exclusion, and more.

More than 3.5 million patrons rely on Pavilion Payments’ solutions for simple, safe, and responsible play. Click here to learn how Pavilion Payments’ technology incorporates the latest responsible gaming measures, or visit our Resource Center.
