Pavilion Payments Supports NCPG’s Problem Gaming Awareness Month

As the gaming industry continues its three-year streak of unprecedented growth, it is important for gaming industry professionals to look at the bigger picture and take into account the inherent risks of gambling. Casino operators and payments providers alike are responsible for protecting their patrons’ well-being, providing the necessary tools for people to use when their wagering gets out of hand and supporting industry initiatives that promote responsible gaming.

The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) founded and organized Problem Gambling Awareness Month (PGAM), a nationwide grassroots campaign that is held annually in March, to spread awareness of problem gambling and advocate for people and families affected by problem gambling. PGAM’s theme for 2024 is “Every Story Matters,” to foster understanding and support within our communities. Join the conversation with #PGAM2024. In addition, the NCPG is promoting Gambling Disorder Screening Day, which will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, to educate and support healthcare providers in screening for gambling disorders.

Pavilion Payments aligns with PGAM’s mission of providing access to resources. The goals are to increase public awareness of problem gambling and the availability of prevention, treatment and recovery services and to encourage healthcare providers to screen clients for problem gambling. Pavilion Payments also includes responsible gaming features in its own solutions that are meant to protect patrons, including configurable spending limits, cooling off periods and voluntary self-exclusion.

PGAM is a time to ensure all patrons in the gaming industry are protected and have the resources needed for responsible gaming. During PGAM, industry leaders are educating the public and promoting safe, responsible and enjoyable gaming. Pavilion Payments promotes safe gambling and provides resources year-round.
